The directors of the Whistler Chamber Music Society would like to thank all those who recently came out to the second concert of the society’s inaugural season, featuring the Vancouver Brass Quintet. The audience of almost 100 was treated to an eclectic and enjoyable program of brass music throughout history that had feet tapping and brought smiles to faces.
Thanks go out to the Real Estate Association of Whistler for the funds to purchase staging, allowing the audience a better view of these talented B.C. professional musicians, to Creative BC for help in supporting live classical music performances right here in Whistler and to members of the community who have chosen to generously support the concert series.
The next concert, featuring the Nadeau Ensemble performing “A Prairie Christmas,” is coming up on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Squamish Lil’Wat Cultural Centre. Janelle Nadeau on pedal harp, Kim Robertson on celtic harp, and Joaquin Ayala playing a collection of instruments, will be performing music to celebrate treasured Christmas and holiday traditions. Tickets ($25/adult, $20/youth 34 and under) are available online at whistlerchambermusic.ca, at the Whistler Museum, or at the door.
