Ross elected Pemberton Chamber president

Several directors returning for another year on board

Karen Ross is the Pemberton and District Chamber of Commerce's new president for 2012, replacing outgoing head Mark Blundell, said a chamber release.

The Pemberton Esso operator was elected to the position on Thursday (Feb. 2). Ross previously served as a board director. Blundell will remain on as past-president.

Courtney Foxgord of Big Sky Golf and Country Club has also moved into an executive role and will serve as vice-president. Outgoing vice-president Kirsten McLeod will stay with the board as a director, while Shirley Henry will continue to act as secretary-treasurer.

David McKenzie, Jennifer Forlin and Richard Keep are all newly-elected directors serving the board for 2012, while Paul Selina, Paul Vacirca and Mount Currie appointee David Lee are returning for another year. Anna Helmer, the former appointee of the Pemberton Farmers' Institute, now serves as director.
