A member of the public discovered her unresponsive in a tree well, police said.

Blackcomb ski patrol, a mountain doctor, a paramedic and nurse practitioner rushed to the scene and attempted to resuscitate her, but she was declared dead.

"Whistler Blackcomb wishes to express its sincerest condolences to friends, family and co-workers for this sad loss," Whistler Blackcomb said, in a release.
