Used book donations sought

Proceeds from Oct. 11 event to benefit school libraries

The Friends of the Whistler Public Library are seeking donations of good used books for their upcoming giant used book sale on Thanksgiving weekend.

The twice-yearly sale takes place on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in front of the Marketplace IGA. Collection boxes have been placed at Nesters Market, TD Canada Trust, the Whistler Public Library and Spring Creek Community School. Books of any description are accepted: hard or soft cover, fiction or non-fiction, for children or adults. Books are sold by donation. Proceeds from the sale will be split between the school libraries at Spring Creek, Myrtle Philip and Whistler Secondary schools.
