The Question to publish its final issue on Jan. 23

As our tagline states, The Whistler Question has been serving Whistler and Pemberton since 1976, putting “community first.” It’s been our distinct pleasure to deliver on that promise for 41 years, which makes it difficult to announce that The Question will be publishing its last issue on Jan. 23, 2018.

The Question’s commitment to community will live on through its sister publication, Pique Newsmagazine, and we’ll move forward with a focus on our news, sports, arts and opinion in print, online and through our social media channels.

While we’re saying goodbye to some of our talented columnists and contributors, we’re pleased to say that no newsroom jobs will be lost and Pique’s newsroom will grow. The Question’s editor, Alyssa Noel, will take on the role of assistant editor and arts and entertainment editor for Pique and reporter Megan Lalonde will join the newsroom with a focus on social media reporting.

We’d like to take the opportunity to thank our readers, advertisers, contributors and supporters who have shared their stories and allowed us the privilege of being part of the lives and history of this community.

If you would like to share your memories of the paper ahead of its last issue, we would love to read them — and possibly include a few in our final paper. We invite you to send those stories, thoughts or reminiscences to
