Love was in the air at the Amore Bridal Show, which took place at the Executive Suites Garibaldi on Saturday (Nov. 25). The show featured several vendors and supplies, as well as models displaying the latest in wedding and lingerie fashion. The event helped raise $170 for Helping Hands charity.
The Howe Sound Sounders advanced to the Tier 2 B.C. High School Football Provincial Final game, which took place in Burnaby on Nov. 25. The Sounders dropped the game 28-21 to the Nanaimo Islanders but still had a spectacular season.

The West Coast Heritage Railway Park hosted two community events on Saturday (Oct. 1). Harvest Fest, took over the park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., while the Lost in the 50s event went down in the CN Roundhouse Centre in the evening.
