Plainclothes Sea to Sky investigators and the Lower Mainland ERT shut down an outdoor marijuana grow op last Friday (Sept. 5). Police hiked down the Green River decommissioned forest service road to reach the site at the 16-kilometre marker. The site contained two plots with 650 unharvested plants that were later destroyed. No suspects were located
Stolen motor bike
A Whistler woman reported her off-road motorcycle stolen from in front of her townhouse last Monday (Sept. 28) on the 8000 block of Timber Lane. She had left the house around noon two days prior, but upon retuning the next day around 5 p.m. the bike was gone. Missing is a blue and white Yamaha TTR 125 valued at approximately $2,000. There is no license plate on the bike at the time of the theft.
A resident on the 9400 block of Emerald Drive heard banging on the patio door at the rear of her house at around 4 a.m. last Tuesday (Sept. 29). The woman got out of bed to investigate and found patio furniture had been moved. Through the window she spotted someone walking north down Emerald Road holding a flashlight. Police attended and located a fingerprint on the glass sliding door and are still investigating.
