In response to Wade Kelly from Hope (Re: “Pemberton no place for dogs,” Sept. 5), it was a warm day but what Mr. Kelly neglected to say was two customers got up and left the diner because he had a dog in an eating establishment. They did not know if his dogs had fleas or parvo. I think it is against most laws to have dogs in eating establishments unless they are service dogs.
I did not tell him to put his dog in a hot car but to tie him up at one of several doggie tie-ups complete with water. I did not say, "I don't care if the dog fries." I also did not say “get it the f--- out of here. I told him to do that after he called me an asshole several times.
Not everyone is in love with his dog.
