Dear Editor,
On Tuesday (Feb. 5) I was a victim of a hit and run incident and am looking for the help from the public.
It occurred in Alpine during the night or early morning. My vehicle was parked in a driveway, off the road, and someone had slipped on the ice and the damage caused is so severe that my vehicle is now a write off.
Some evidence left behind were emerald blue paint chips all over the place. Later that day, this was confirmed, while driving a company vehicle around Green Lake, coming around one of the bends, a blue Ford F150 with a completely smashed in drivers side headlight assembly was coming the other way. It was so shocking to see the vehicle I knew had hit mine that I didn't even think to look at the licence plate until we had passed each other.
So I'm calling on the public to contact the RCMP with the licence plate of this vehicle if you see it. My hope is that this person can move from the place of guilt and shame over to the place of taking responsibility and doing what's right.
