Whistler Exposed launched its first ever men’s calendar Wednesday (Dec. 26). The limited edition 2013 calendar retails for $20 with all proceeds going to charity.

If you’re looking for a little more beefcake in your life (and really, who isn’t?), check out Whistler Exposed’s first ever men’s calendar, which launched Wednesday (Dec. 26) and features 13 local dreamboats doing stuff with their shirts off.

The idea sprang from the award-winning and ever popular women’s calendar, which launched in 2010 and is now sold in over 200 stores nation-wide, with negotiations in the works to expand into 900 additional stores throughout North America.

“I had been a cheerleader with the BC Lions, worked with other dance teams and had been in calendars before and I always wanted to produce my own,” said Whistler Exposed founder Shannen Carlson. “We decided to expand the brand and, due to a lot of popular demand, to try a men’s calendar.”

All the hunks appearing in the inaugural men’s calendar are local boys, or at the very least spend a significant amount of time in Whistler.

“We’ve got 13 local men, popular guys in the hospitality industry, a couple pro skiers, just people that are well-known around town,” said Carlson.

Some of the participants from last year’s Mr. Whistler contest offered their chiselled good looks for the calendar, while others Adonises were approached specifically for the job.

All 13 of the hunks of burning love were in attendance at the calendar launch party Wednesday, at Tommy Africa’s, where they were auctioned off to the highest bidder, with all proceeds going to charity.

“People bid on the models for a dinner date or a ski tour or one of the many prizes that were donated, like a massage,” said Carlson.

Like the women’s version, Whistler Exposed will donate 100 per cent of the men’s calendar sales to the Canadian Spinal Cord Research Organization. The women’s calendar has raised over $20,000 for the organization since it launched.

The men’s and women’s calendars retail for $20 and are available for purchase at Carlbergs Gift Shop, The Grocery Store or online at www.whistlerexposed.com.
