RTOWN Communications host/blogger, Ski With An Olympian headliner and instructor, creating a breakfast cereal (Jules Fuel), Alpine Canada Podium Club Ambassador, Finishing up my communications diploma at Capilano University and getting stoked on lots of freeskiing.
Highlights or milestones in your life since you graduated?
2010 Ski Cross Olympian and 2011 World Champion silver medallist.
How has growing up in Whistler influenced where you are now?
It has shaped who I am today. But now I feel spoiled and never want to leave the surroundings that Whistler has to offer.
How do you think being a Whistler grad sets you apart from others pursuing similar goals?
For me, yes. I have grown into a person who really cares about the environment and healthy living. This is because of the environment I grew up in. Whistler has taught me to live in the moment, and make the most of every situation. The atmosphere around here always makes it hard not to.
Do you have a message for the community?
Get out there every day and enjoy what Whistler has to offer even in the downpours.
Do you have any advice for current WSS students?
Don't take what you have in your backyard for granted. Keep learning new things by listening to stories of true Whistler locals. Enjoy the Whistler vibe and outdoors
What's next for you?
Just retired from ski cross. I'm headlining the 'Ski With An Olympian Program with Davey Barr for Whistler Blackomb. I'll be freeskiing amlot this year with my GoPro and Atomics to try to get some good shots. I'm now hosting for RTOWN Communications and have started a Julia's Picks insiders blog for them. Breakfast cereal success.
What’s on your bucket list?
Go on Dragon's Den for my cereal. Road trip to B.C. mountains. Travel to hot places. Get some ski photos published. Meet awesome people. Do great things!
