The first major snowfall in Whistler on Sunday (Nov. 11) has led to chaos on the roads as drivers deal with slippery conditions.
At least one vehicle went off the road, hanging on the edge of the ditch on Alta Lake Road.
RCMP indicate the vehicle was secured and the driver removed. However as there were numerous vehicle accidents in the Whistler area due to the snowfall, further details are unavailable at this time.
Drive BC is reporting slushy sections on Highway 99 in between Function Junction to River Side Drive, a 20.6 kilometre distance.
As of October first the Sea to Sky Highway the use of winter tires is required.
