Dear Editor,
Why are we not seeing front-page coverage of Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA) right now?
This is the most astounding development of our international trade agreements to be tabled in many years. It has profound connotations not only for the future of Canadian economics, but the overall culture and welfare of our people. My opinion is that it is an entirely unacceptable direction for our government to go without thorough and genuine public consultation, which I believe would be strongly against FIPA.
To ignore this as journalists and not cover this issue in some depth is to abuse responsibility and abet dishonest and unlawful politics.
