Dear Editor,
I'm wondering if someone can explain to me why gas prices in Pemberton are the highest from Pemberton through the city to Chilliwack as well from Pemberton through to Kelowna?
Over the past spring, summer and fall, my wife and I have driven several times down to the city and even to Chilliwack from Pemberton. Another trip we make several times is from Pemberton to the Okanagan. On each trip we are shocked to find that Pemberton is always the most expensive for gas. The amounts vary sometimes from a couple of cents per litre to as much as ten cents per litre.
I don't believe Pemberton has any special tax or levy unlike Vancouver, which pays the GVRD tax.
Is there's something I'm missing… please? Can someone enlighten me?
Michael Glenn,
Pemberton
