Hooray for science

Dear Editor,

Pemberton Secondary School participated in a world record attempt at the largest practical science lesson at multiple locations last Friday (Oct. 12).

We would like to thank the following businesses for donating the various supplies needed for the activity: Pemberton Valley Supermarket, AG Foods, Pemberton Valley Drugstore, and Pemberton Rona.

As well, we would like to thank the following community members who volunteered to be official witnesses for the event and agreed to lock themselves in the gym with 300 teenagers armed with water and balloons: Carmen Moore LeFebre, Bob Eldridge, Christine Timm, Mark Blundell, Gail McKellar, Fran Cuthbert, Dan Cumming, Celia Cumming, Heidi Kym-Lieberherr, Anne Eldridge, Susie Gimse, Jamie Walzl, and Paul Vacirca.

We greatly appreciate your help and hope that your enjoyed your time with our students.

Karen Tomlinson and David Cipp
