You have to know when to hold them and know when to fold them and know when to get to the Fairmont Chateau Whistler during Cornucopia next month.
The five-day event organizers announced last week that brand new High Rollers Party has been added for the Friday night (Nov. 9) at the Chateau.
Without major events like Casino Royale and Masquerave returning this year, manager of public relations for Fairmont Chateau Whistler Jennifer Tice said they hope the High Rollers Party will be a great kick off to the weekend in Whistler.
“We are excited to be able to have the opportunity to launch a kick off party for Friday night,” Tice said. “High Rollers is going to be a casino theme, so everyone will be dressed to the nines in their tuxes and dancing shoes.”
The event is being held in support of Whistler Animals Galore (WAG), which will receive the proceeds from the casino. Tice said those attending will have the ability to redeem their chips for great prizes at the end of the event.
The evening will include live entertainment, beautiful dancers and dazzling décor, she added, along with delicious canapés and cocktails prepared by the culinary team at the hotel.
“Overall this is going to be a fun night,” she said. “We are hoping this year will be the first of many High Roller parties at the Fairmont.”
Early bird tickets are still available at $120 and then afterwards they will cost $150.
Jess Smith, communications manager at Watermark, the promotion company for Cornucopia, said the addition of the High Rollers Party is exciting news.
“As you know we have had Casino Royale for a number of years that is a fantastic event, but it is exciting to bring something new to the table,” Smith said. “Cornucopia is really about the indulgent, trying something new and stepping outside the comfort zone.
“High Rollers fills a niche market where people can enjoy the finer things in life and feel like they are in a casino.”
