Dear Editor,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people, hotels and some bars that recently donated their recyclables to the Grizzlies Football Nation fundraiser.
The Grizzlies consist of a group of teenaged boys from Pemberton and Whistler that are training under the coaching guidance of John Burleson. He has devoted countless hours of his personal time to help prepare them for their games that will start Saturday (Sept. 8) in Washington.
It should also be noted that without the help and assistance from Chad Yuile, the general manager of Regional Recycling, this fundraiser would never have been able to happen. Since taking over the operations of the recycle center Chad has elevated the standards with professionalism. He has increased the operational hours and cleaned up the entire corner, which increases our access to this much-needed service.
Chad has opened an account at the center for the Grizzlies Football players so that anyone wishing to donate may still do so. The much-needed funds are for football equipment and transportation to games. Thank you for your consideration.
