Whistler Excellence Awards tonight

Six awards to be handed at at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler

Brad Sills, pictured here, is one of three people nominated for citizen of the year at tonight's Whistler Excellence Awards.

The winners of the inaugural Whistler Excellence Awards will be announced tonight (July 6) at a black-tie event hosted by the Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Community Foundation of Whistler, the Whistler Arts Council and the Whistler Centre for Sustainability.

A total of 17 finalists in six categories are vying for citizen of the year, business person of the year, the business and the arts award, sustainability in action business award, innovative business of the year award and service excellence award.
