Cops for Cancer Ladies Red Serge Gala is Thursday, Sept. 16. Tickets went on sale yesterday, Sept. 2, at the Sechelt RCMP detachment. Cost is $60 (cash only) and includes appetizers, wine, a fabulous catered three-course dinner, balloon prize draw and a chance at the stunning door prize donated by Wakefield Jewellers in Trail Bay Mall.
The annual event is in support of the Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast. This year’s riders are Const. Jennifer Balfour and Const. Corinne MacPherson. The ride goes from Sept. 22 to 30. The riders have a fundraising goal of $30,000.
Last year the gala event raised over $35,000 for pediatric cancer research.
The gala is being held at the Sechelt Seniors Centre beginning at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. No minors please.
