The Pemberton Food Bank has undergone a facelift of sorts. The service has just moved to a new location at Unit 6. 1366 Aster St. in Pemberton, where the Sears catalogue outlet was formerly located.
Previously located at the Sea to Sky Community Services office at 1357 Aster St., the food bank is no longer accessible five days a week, but is open on designated days only. The food bank is open every other Monday beginning Sept. 13, from 1 to 3 p.m. The food bank will again be open on Sept. 27.
Anyone wishing to volunteer to help prepare bags for food bank recipients can go to the food bank at 10 a.m. on the days the food bank is open.
Donations of non-perishable food items are always needed. They can be dropped off at the Sea to Sky office at 1357 Aster St., Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., or in the food bank drop boxes at the Pemberton Valley Supermarket or the library.
Perishable items can be brought to the food bank beginning at 9 a.m. on the days the food bank is open.
