On behalf of local and visiting spectators who took in the drag racing events at the airport, I’d like to thank the many busy volunteers for running such a complex operation.
Thanks also to the drag racers — men and women — for challenging the laws of physics on that runway! Since 1999, this event has been a widely-appreciated part of summer recreation on the Sunshine Coast.
