Dear Editor,

Over the past two months raffle tickets have been sold around Pemberton to win a Harvest Basket full of food from local farms. This was a Friends of the Pemberton and District Library initiative with help from many others.

Our sincere thanks go out to all the donors who will fill the basket in the course of the summer: Across the Creek Organics, Goat Mountain Produce, Helmer’s Organic Farm, Ice Cap Organics, Mountain Charolais, North Arm Farms, Pemberton Coffee Company, Riverlands Market Garden, Rootdown Organics, Shaw Creek Farm, Len and Patty Ritchie, Simply Delicious Bakery and Blackbird Bakery.

We also thank all those who bought tickets and supported this tremendous effort to help get the Community Centre kitchen finished and available for our whole community.

Finally, this raffle would not have been possible without the continuing help from the Library staff, support of the Community Centre staff and the board and members of the Friends of the Pemberton and District Library. We raised the impressive amount of more than $1,700. Thank you all.
