The District of Squamish sent out a notification at 3:25 p.m. today advising travellers Government Road is closed to southbound traffic between Garibaldi Way and Mamquam Road.
Only one-way northbound traffic is being allowed onto this stretch of Government Road for the next 24 hours, according to the notification.This traffic control measure is to accommodate a District of Squamish construction project.
Residents are recommended to access Brackendale via Highway 99 to avoid traffic delays on Government Road.
