Well, after all the hoping, waiting, and nail biting of the Olympic bid process and through 10 years of planning (and even more hoping, waiting and nail biting) - the 2010 Winter Olympic Games have come and are just about over.
What a whirlwind it’s been.
But it isn’t over quite yet, and you can still wrap yourself up in the resort’s exuberant and abundant Olympic spirit by heading to the Whistler Public Library on Sunday (Feb. 28) to celebrate the Closing Ceremony with fellow community members and Canadians at Whistler Canada Olympic House.
Not only will the ceremony be on big-screen TVs, but you can also rub elbows with your fellow Whistlerites and enjoy a Whistler style après scene.
Usually access to Whistler Canada Olympic House is primarily by accreditation or invitations, but this event is open to the community. The open house for the Closing Ceremony runs 5 to 10 p.m. at Whistler Canada Olympic House.
