WCC offers thanks

The Whistler Children’s Centre would like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge the instrumental people who enabled us to complete some much needed repairs around the facility.

First and foremost I would like to thank the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation for providing us with a grant that allowed us to do an extensive renovation on our Dandelions Infant Program. As our oldest building the Dandelion program was in need of some significant TLC. I would like to extend a warm thank you to Debbie Evans and Jennifer Cook of Whistler Interior Design for developing the scope of work, organizing the trades, and managing this project. I would also like to thank the Canadian Home Builders Association’s Sea to Sky Division who took on this project and contributed their volunteer time. Thank you to all for your commitment to the centre and this project: Axel Shreyer Construction, High End Renovations, Peak Ventures, Kindred Construction, Rommel Homes, Mountain Paint, Northface Kitchen and Bath, Chris Schmidt of Island basement Systems, Jake Illingworth of Plan B Electrical, MEK Plumbing, Doug Bruce, and Mike Skrzeszewski, and Bill Caverly of Capilano Highways.

All of your work has been greatly appreciated by myself, the WCC Board of Directors, teachers, families and children. We feel so fortunate to have a warm, safe, and inviting space for our children to develop and grow!

Thank you to Carolyn Rogers and her team from Out on a Limb for the time and energy they spent on cleaning up our grounds and outside play spaces, and sprucing up all of our flower beds. Thank you also to Paulette French and Dave Bailey who contributed their services to this project.

It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child… Thank you for all of the hard work that has been put forth in supporting the Whistler Children’s Centre and all of its children!
