Three vehicles — all Dodges between nine and 13 years old — were reported stolen in Whistler within a 12-hour period early this week.
Two Dodge pickup trucks and a van were reported stolen overnight on Sunday-Monday (June 28-29), while someone also attempted to steal a third Dodge pickup but was unsuccessful, Whistler RCMP Sgt. Steve Wright said on Monday (June 29).
The first vehicle reported stolen is a green 1996 Dodge Ram pickup, B.C. licence No. 3730 JV, from an underground lot at 4355 Northlands Blvd. The second was a blue 2000 Dodge Dakota truck, licence No. 8951 DT, stolen from near the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. The third vehicle is a green 1999 Dodge Voyageur van with a built-in bike rack on the back. It was reported stolen from the underground parkade at the Crystal Lodge.

Lundstrom apprehended
A man described as “a well-known car thief” who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for allegedly breaching the conditions of his release from prison was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting last week in Vancouver.
Joshua Kale Lundstrom, 29, was thought by police to have been in the Sea to Sky corridor last week. However, unbeknownst to Whistler RCMP, Lundstrom had been arrested last Monday, June 22, in Vancouver.
Wright said Lundstrom’s parole officer is recommending that his parole be revoked. He will be in custody for at least 30 days pending the outcome of his National Parole Board hearing, Wright wrote in an email to The Question.
