Canada’s role in an increasingly uncertain and multipolar world is the focus of five upcoming roundtable discussions being presented by the Whistler Forum.
The talks, scheduled Nov. 9, 10 and 11, will feature contributions by international relations experts Graham Fuller, Paul Heinbecker and Shauna Sylvester.
The theme of Roundtable 1 on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m. at the Edgewater Lodge, is titled “A Grave New World for New Canadian and American Governments,” focusing on recent electoral changes. On Monday, Nov. 10, at 10 a.m. at the Edgewater, roundtable discussions will focus on “Canada with U.S. President? Implications for Canadian Foreign Policy” and “Lest We Forget: Canada, the U.S. and NATO in Afghanistan.” The presentations on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 1:30 p.m. at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre will focus on “Canada and China: Commodities and Connections Across the Pacific” and “Canada in a Multipolar World: Priorities Moving Forward.”
