New MP
Conservative candidate John Weston was declared the winner in West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country.

8:46 PM: With 70 polls of 249 reporting, Conservative John Weston has been projected to win tonight's federal election in West Vancouver-Sunshine Coast-Sea to Sky Country by CBC News.

Weston has 7,003 votes to 4,362 for Liberal Ian Sutherland. Green MP Blair Wilson trails with 2,048 votes and Bill Forst of the NDP is fourth with 1,500 votes.

While three quarters of the polls in the riding still to report, and it is not known where the polls that have reported so far are coming in from in the far-flung riding, but the early margin for Weston has been steadily increasing as the results have come in so far tonight and is already larger than the final vote margin that Wilson won the riding by as a Liberal in 2006 and that former Conservative MP John Reynolds won over Wilson in 2004.
